With rooftop views of the Mississippi River, vintage-inspired suites, and a cozy French aesthetic, The Charmant Hotel is one of La Crosse’s most stylish and sought-after wedding venues. Whether you’re planning a full wedding weekend or an intimate celebration, this venue combines luxury with warmth in all the right ways.
As a local photographer and filmmaker, I’ve worked at The Charmant many times — and it never gets old. The light is always clean, the textures always beautiful, and the vibe always effortless.
A Real-Feeling Wedding Story
Claire and James booked The Charmant because it didn’t feel like a typical wedding venue — and that’s exactly what they loved. “It’s modern, but not cold. Fancy, but not stuffy,” Claire said.
They started the day getting ready in one of the corner suites, with huge windows, soft morning light, and champagne flowing gently in the background. Their ceremony took place on the rooftop terrace — just the two of them, their immediate families, and a view that stretched past the river.
After portraits on the roof, in the library, and down on the sidewalk under the faded ghost signs of downtown La Crosse, they hosted a private dinner in the Parlour Room. The night ended with cocktails, laughter, and that “we actually did it” kind of quiet joy.
