Look at this couple kiss in the rain. It’s not every day that a couple will be willing to get drenched for the sake of amazing photos. This couple was. I am so glad for fearless clients that were not afraid to take their love on a country road, near a buffalo that was clearly not happy that we were there, or even in the middle of a wet field while it literally poured down rain. This couple was so committed that they came all the way across the state of Wisconsin in order to take their engagement photos. We started off downtown where there was a lot of local talent and other musicians that were around the streets due to freedom fest down at the UWL field. We made our way around downtown La Crosse for a few photos before looking for a more country setting. Once we got out into the country things started to look like it was going to be downhill as the sky grew darker and the rain started to pour down. The couple was more than amazing. We ran out into an open field where we shot a few of them gazing at one another and the rain just kept literally pelting down on us. We then made it down another road where we saw some fog on the road. We captured a few shots with the couple as the sun started to fall more and more.
The couple kissed in the rain, it was magic, and truly a documentary moment. A lot of the time when shooting photos I recommend going with the flow of the day. Things will happen, if it happens to rain, bring an umbrella and go with it. Nothing is better than proving that your love is flexible and withstand any situation.
