Hotel Red Madison Review
First off, I hope that you enjoy my Hotel Red Madison Review. I am not much of a writer or blogger, but with photography it seems that it comes hand in hand. I know that I shoot weddings and that is probably why you stopped by the blog; however I really appreciated this Hotel so I wanted to take a minute and blog about the little touches that added a lot of value to my stay. While traveling to shoot a wedding in Madison, WI I chose to stay overnight at HotelRed on Monroe in Madison. This room a boutique for sure. It looked like Ikea met up with a hotel in order to produce one of the coolest boutiques I have been to. Cement floors and ceilings aren’t for everyone. Modern and abstract art on the walls aren’t either. For me I loved the look, from the low to the ground bed and lamp stands that made the room feel bigger to the large sink that was pretty much a large bowl sitting on top of a table. The shower had an overhead, horizontal and a wand head all in one very amazingly convenient set up. It all poured into a concrete floor with drain at the bottom. There was basically a mini kitchen in the room. I had a microwave, refrigerator, range and sink. There was even a kurig and what I would consider a full bar with snacks. Of course these were all incidentals that you had to pay for…but still its nice to have in the room. There was even a dish washer. Heck..I am pretty confident I could live in this thing as long as I had a garage attached to it with maybe a garage above the loft. Feasibly I could see this happening with the cement being in ground heated for the cold winters here in Wisconsin. Between the friendly and very professional wait staff, and free specialty alcoholic beverage, I would give this hotel flying reviews.
