If you’re looking for a barn wedding venue that feels both polished and relaxed, Huntington Barn in La Crescent (just across the river from La Crosse) is a standout. Tucked into the hills with sweeping views, warm wood interiors, and plenty of space to celebrate, it strikes a perfect balance between natural beauty and classic charm.
As someone who grew up in the La Crosse area, this venue feels familiar — in the best way. It’s scenic, welcoming, and full of golden-hour moments.
A Real-Feeling Wedding Story
Sami and Tyler knew they didn’t want a ballroom wedding. “We just want something that feels like us — something outdoorsy but still clean,” Sami told me when they booked. Huntington Barn gave them exactly that.
They got ready upstairs in the loft — with sunlight pouring in and a country playlist humming softly in the background. Their ceremony happened out front, overlooking the hills, under an arch Tyler built with his dad. The couple exchanged handwritten vows in front of 100 guests, most of whom traveled less than 20 minutes to get there.
The reception flowed effortlessly into the barn, where string lights, eucalyptus garlands, and wood tables created a warm, welcoming feel. As night fell, we snuck out for portraits behind the venue, where the sky turned soft and the field lit up in gold.
