Tyler and Nikki were married on June 24th, with a ceremony and reception at Rudolph Grotto Gardens and a reception at the Hotel Mead for this Wisconsin Law Enforcement Wedding.
I spoke with Tyler and Nikki and worked with them well ahead of the wedding to get the timeline in place. I was impressed with how well-planned-out the day was so that no one felt rushed at any time. That meant that the two of them were relaxed, making my job easier so that I could get those perfect pictures showcasing their love instead of rushing from one place to the next.
The setting in general was absolutely perfect for the day. The sunset, the weather—all of it combined for a stunning backdrop. Even the geese and ducks around the gardens cooperated; they were the real MVPs of the day.
I loved the personal touches that these two added to the ceremony itself, such as having their ringbearer be “Ring Security.” It was a tribute to all the members of law enforcement that they have in the family, and the “Ring Security” was even able to wear his dad’s badge.
The bride and groom were also glad that their usher/reader was able to be part of the wedding. In a true testament to how much these two are loved, he flew overnight on a red eye flight, arriving at around 2 in the morning just to be there for the big day! It worked out perfectly that the last day he was needed in South Carolina for the Navy was June 23rd, so he got there as soon as he could to celebrate with Tyler and Nikki.
I know that Tyler and Nikki had been a little nervous about the ceremony itself as they prepared for the big day. But when it actually happened, the smiles on their faces couldn’t have been any brighter. It was amazing to see them both so happy, surrounded by their loved ones.
Nikki & Tyler, thank you for asking me to be part of your special day and for being so easy and wonderful to work with!
Thanks also for the kind words, which I’d like to share here, because they made me smile:
Ben knew when to step in and take pictures without being overpowering or in the way. (Tyler says you were like a ninja and got pictures of him when he didn’t even know you were around lol)
