Queenstown NZ Travel Photos
Ever wake up in paradise? For me, paradise isn’t about beaches—it’s about trails that lead into the mountains, where I can lose myself and find myself at the same time. While taking these Queenstown NZ travel photos, I discovered a whole new world with a family I met through Airbnb. Their home overlooked high peaks and offered a glimpse of the Remarkables, making every moment a visual treat.
Staying in Queenstown, I was within walking distance of the city’s main attractions. I spent my days exploring paths, hiking around the city, and even ascending to the highest peak above the town. One of the highlights was a bus trip to Milford Sound, where I took a boat ride and experienced motion sickness for the first time. A quick purchase of Sea Legs solved that issue, but it was an interesting experience, likely brought on by the intense travel schedule: flying from Wisconsin to Minneapolis, then to Los Angeles, and finally into Queenstown. The next day, I embarked on a three-hour bus ride to Milford Sound, where the boat awaited.
Despite the challenges, I captured some epic photos during my travels. This trip ignited a new passion for travel photography. While I usually shoot weddings, taking photos for myself allowed me to experiment, make mistakes, and deepen my appreciation for wedding photography by exploring personal landscape photography.
I highly recommend using Airbnb for booking stays overseas. Just read the reviews, and you’ll be fine! This trip to Queenstown was an unforgettable adventure, and I can’t wait to visit again.
