La Crosse WI Wedding
Its always great to be back home for a La Crosse WI Wedding. As a photographer that loves to travel, I am so grateful when clients reach out to me when they have similar lifestyles. As part of their adventurous lifestyle, they really wanted to show their friends and families the amazing views that the La Crosse area has. The day started off downtown, with some spunky bridesmaids who made me feel right at home. While J had her makeup and hair done, I took her dress out to grab some frames with it. With the help and insight of one of the bridesmaids, I found out that when J lived in town, she use to go to a local Irish Pub from time to time. Bennett O’Rileys was not open but we were able to hang the dress from the outside just before sneaking back in for some bridal prep photos. After having a first look with the couple, we made our way up to Pearl Street Brewery for a drink, as well as up to Grandads Bluff, the scenic lookout for La Crosse. The bridal party seemed to be amazed by the lookout point. Many people that grew up in La Crosse are so use to the bluffs that it doesn’t even phase us, but from people around the world, the bluffs are a unique thing. This wedding ceremony and reception were both done at the Pettibone Club, which made it extremely convenient to shoot. With everything in one location, I was able to shoot photos of wedding guests against the the beautiful backdrop where the couple had just been married. The night moved on to lots of laughter and happy moments as you will see. Its really great to see the couple still take mini adventures and to see their Instagram be filled with Wanderlust hashtags. I love having couples like that because it just gives me the inspiration to go take an adventure and create a new story, see something new, and experience something I haven’t.
