Rochester MN Wedding Photographer | Honest, Timeless Coverage in Southeast Minnesota

Planning a wedding in Rochester? Whether you’re getting married at a historic estate, a stone barn, or right in your own backyard, this city offers a beautiful range of wedding venues — and a strong sense of community to match. As a Rochester-based wedding photographer, I’ve spent years documenting celebrations here in every season, style, and setting.

My goal is to photograph weddings with intention. To slow things down. To capture the natural rhythm of your day, without forcing it into something it’s not.

If you’re getting married in Rochester and want a photographer who values honesty, emotion, and calm direction, you’re in the right place.

What Makes Rochester a Great Place to Get Married?

Natural Beauty, Close to Home
Rochester has a unique mix of wooded bluffs, winding rivers, and soft, open fields. Whether you’re getting married downtown or just outside city limits, there’s no shortage of photo-ready landscapes.

A Venue for Every Couple
From barns and estates to modern ballrooms and garden venues, Rochester offers something for every style. You don’t need to drive hours to find a space that fits you.

Seasonal Variety
Spring weddings bring soft pastels and crisp air. Summer offers golden light and vibrant color. Fall is the most dramatic season here, with deep foliage and moody skies. Winter weddings glow with warm indoor lighting and snow-covered landscapes.

My Approach to Rochester Wedding Photography

Your wedding isn’t a photoshoot. It’s a real day, with real people, real movement, and real emotion. I’m here to help you stay grounded in that.

Calm, Honest Coverage
I’ll guide you when needed — during portraits, family photos, and moments of transition — but most of the day, I’ll simply observe and document what’s already happening.

Natural Light and Natural Emotion
Rochester is full of soft, beautiful light — from forested trails to open fields. My editing style leans timeless and true-to-tone, so your images won’t feel trendy or dated in five years.

Local and Experienced
I know this area well. I know where the sun sets at Mayowood, how to time portraits at the Plummer House, and how to find golden hour even when clouds roll in.
