Nestled high in the foothills above Idaho Springs, North Star Gatherings is one of Colorado’s most breathtaking modern wedding venues. Floor-to-ceiling windows, a ceremony deck with sweeping alpine views, and clean architecture that blends beautifully with the landscape — everything about this place feels intentional, intimate, and elevated.

As a Colorado wedding photographer, this is one of the most rewarding venues to work in. The light, the quiet, the mountains resting just beyond the glass — it creates an atmosphere where emotions land softly and photos take on a life of their own.

A Real Wedding Story From This Venue

The last time I photographed a couple here, the air was still and warm, and the mountains looked like they were rising right out of the ceremony deck. They shared their vows in front of that wide, endless backdrop — nothing rushed, nothing forced. Just presence.

After the ceremony, we wandered the trails near the venue for golden-hour portraits. The light hit the ridges in that soft Colorado way, turning everything gold and quiet. Their reception glowed inside the timber-and-glass hall while the sun disappeared behind the peaks.
