Nestled above the Mississippi River Valley near Stockholm, WI, Maiden Rock Winery & Cidery is a low-key, charming vineyard venue perfect for couples who want a celebration that feels personal, scenic, and a little off the beaten path. With bluff-top views, rows of apple trees, and space for an outdoor ceremony and relaxed reception, it’s ideal for couples who value atmosphere over extravagance.
As a Wisconsin wedding photographer, I love this spot — the light is soft, the space is open, and it always feels like a quiet escape.
A Real-Feeling Wedding Story
Jenna and Evan wanted something intimate, outdoors, and “not too Pinterest.” They chose Maiden Rock Winery because it reminded them of where they got engaged — under an apple tree on a fall trip to Door County.
Their ceremony took place in the orchard, with wildflower petals scattered down the aisle and a handmade arch built by Evan’s father. Afterward, guests wandered through the vineyard with glasses of cider while we snuck away to the bluff for sunset portraits.
Dinner was a local farm-to-table spread served under a white tent. No DJ, just a curated playlist and a dance floor under the stars.
