Maiden Rock Winery Wedding | Vineyard and Cidery Venue in Western Wisconsin

Nestled above the Mississippi River Valley near Stockholm, Wisconsin, Maiden Rock Winery and Cidery is one of those venues that feels quietly magical. Blufftop views, rows of apple trees, soft orchard light, and the ease of a countryside celebration all come together here. It’s relaxed and beautiful without trying too hard, which is exactly why couples fall in love with it.

As a Wisconsin wedding photographer, I’m always drawn to Maiden Rock for its light, textures, and sense of calm. Nothing about it feels staged. Everything feels lived in, grounded, and real.

A Real Wedding at Maiden Rock Winery

Jenna and Evan wanted something intimate, outdoors, and “not too Pinterest.” Maiden Rock felt like home to them from the beginning. They chose it because it reminded them of where they got engaged — beneath an apple tree in Door County.

Their ceremony took place in the orchard with wildflowers lining the aisle and a handmade arch built by Evan’s dad. After the vows, guests wandered through the vineyard with glasses of house cider while we slipped away to the bluff for golden hour portraits.

Dinner was farm to table under a white tent. No DJ, just a curated playlist and a dance floor under the stars. Simple. Honest. Completely them.

What I Bring as Your Photographer

I work in vineyards and orchards often, and Maiden Rock is one of my favorites. Here’s what I focus on:

  • Using orchard light to keep portraits soft and natural
  • Planning timelines around shade, vineyard color, and golden hour
  • Candid, guided posing that feels real instead of stiff
  • Hybrid photo and video options if you want both
  • Creating a calm, grounded presence so you enjoy the day rather than rush through it

Best Times of Year for a Maiden Rock Wedding

Each season brings something different:

Spring
Blossoms, fresh air, soft color.

Summer
Full vineyards, bright skies, warm evenings.

Fall
Peak apple season. Orchard color. Absolutely unbeatable.

Winter
Minimalist micro weddings or cozy elopements.
