This wonderful couple was married on June 3rd, with a ceremony at the Living Word Christian Church and a reception at the La Crosse Center Ballroom. Here is their love story, in the bride’s words:
Aaron and I grew up in the same church, so we had known each other for over a decade before we began courting. He chased after me for almost two years, and finally, I came around. We grew closer together and began dating in June 2016. We knew there was more to come for our story, and so we began looking at rings. Then in January 2017, he left a trail of roses along a path in a small-town park. At the end of the trail, he was there, getting down on one knee in the middle of a twinkle-lit bridge. I said yes, of course!
On the day of the wedding, we had a really relaxed morning. Both of us got breakfast with friends and family, then got ready for pictures. I love the image of me and my bridesmaids in the brick alleyway—it captures our smiles, joy and friendship. It really is a great picture of us girls.
Aaron and I staged a first look before the wedding, and I love the image of us staring at each other in amazement. It captures our love—so genuine, sweet, and excited for our wedding.
We had everyone meet at the church in the afternoon for pictures before the ceremony. I was so touched by how many people helped to bring our day together. They were all so supportive, and it was touching to feel so loved. When I turned around, after being pronounced my best friend’s wife, it was so beautiful and heartwarming to see all those smiling, happy faces there for us.
I could hardly wait for when I finally got to kiss him after we said our vows and exchanged rings. I wanted to kiss him so badly the whole time! To have our pastor say to Aaron, “You may now kiss your bride,” I couldn’t hold it in any longer. I’m pretty sure I did a happy dance!
Of course, I couldn’t go without saying how much I loved doing “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen with everyone. The family tradition lives on!
All in all, we had a beautiful day. We’d especially like to thank Joyce Todd, who does freelance design work. She designed our wedding website, with a RSVP layout that was amazingly convenient. She designed our invites, programs, and thank you cards. She was more than reasonably priced and did an excellent job!
We give God all of the glory for our story, and we thank each and every person who helped make it possible.
