A Joyful Jewish Wedding at Wellshire Event Center in Denver, Colorado
Some weddings feel like a sparkler. Bright. Fast. Over before you know it.
This one felt like a bonfire. Warm. Centered. Everyone leaned in.
I had the honor of second shooting this incredible Denver Jewish wedding with Eric Einstein Photography, and from the first moment, I knew this day was going to matter.
The Emotional Build Up
The getting-ready rooms were buzzing. Laughter from one hallway, tears in the next. A calm mother carefully fixing her son’s collar while he wiped his eyes before anyone could notice. The groom was emotional in the most beautiful way. You could see how much he cared about this moment. How much he cared about her.
Those intimate minutes — tying ties, pinning boutonnieres, hugs that lasted a little longer than usual — felt like the heartbeat before the celebration.
The Significance of the Ketubah
Before most of the guests even took their seats, those closest to the couple gathered for the ketubah signing, one of the most sacred and honored parts of a Jewish wedding. The room softened. Voices lowered. It was the moment where commitment turned from idea to promise.
Parents smiled behind teary eyes
Grandparents squeezed hands
And the couple glowed — nervous and proud all at once.
Under the Chuppah: A Sacred Space
The ceremony took place beneath a beautifully decorated chuppah, standing tall at the front of the room. The symbolism was everywhere.
The white walls and sheer white draping turned Wellshire’s historic space into something dreamlike. Soft light spilled in from both sides and bounced around gently in the room, wrapping everyone in warmth. It was a photographer’s kind of magic — natural light doing all the heavy lifting.
The rabbi’s voice spoke of home, family, and heritage. The couple held each other’s hands firmly like they were anchoring themselves to the moment. When the glass broke, the eruption of joy was instant. The celebration began.
The Hora and a Room That Couldn’t Stop Smiling
The hora exploded into motion before anyone could catch their breath. Chairs lifted high. Shoes almost flying off. Cheers filling every corner of the room. The groom threw his head back in laughter while family and friends hoisted him up like the world’s happiest king.
Everywhere I pointed my camera, there was a moment unfolding. Connection. Pride. Joy.
Fall Portraits That Felt Like Perfect Timing
Before heading inside for reception traditions, I stole the couple away into the gardens outside Wellshire. It was fall in Denver, which means…
Golden leaves curled at the edges
Grass still green from summer
Sun dripping warm light through the trees
They walked hand-in-hand, breathing in the quiet for the first time all day. Those portraits became their reset — the moment when excitement settled into something deeper. The way they looked at each other… it felt like watching two futures merge into one.
Why Wellshire Was the Perfect Fit
This venue holds history and modern celebration all at once. The white-draped ceremony space, the rich wood interiors, the outdoor walking paths for portraits — it was a seamless blend of elegance and comfort. And it photographed beautifully from every angle.
If you’re planning a Jewish wedding in Denver and want a venue that honors tradition while still feeling stylish and open for celebration, Wellshire is a gem.

A Day That Stays With You
As a photographer, some days just land differently. This one did.
Love was big. Emotion was welcome.
Tradition met joy in the most effortless way.
I’m grateful I got to help document it, to support a fellow artist, and to witness a community lift two people — literally and metaphorically — into their new life together.
