I met up with Jessa on August 7th for a senior shoot in La Crosse, Wisconsin, with both of her parents attending.
This session was particularly exciting to me because I have known Jessa for years. We grew up in the same church, and it’s been amazing to see her blossom into the young woman she is now.
When it comes to Jessa, basketball is life. In fact, she is going to Viterbo on a scholarship for basketball! I still remember when her parents would host grill outs and she would constantly be off making free throws while we were all socializing. I think her daily goal was to consistently make something like 200 free throws a day—though I may be wrong on the exact number. Either way, she has been putting in an insane amount of practice since the time she was just 5 years old, and she absolutely deserves every success and every adventure ahead of her.
Toward the end of the session, Jessa finally started to open up, and that was when we got some of our best pictures. She was able to bring her love of basketball into the mix, and once she got going with her passion, she was completely unstoppable.
For this session, we decided to extend the time to make a combined family session and senior shoot, which meant that the whole family was along for the ride. Mom and Dad were able to get into the spirit of things as well, and we got some amazing pictures of the whole family together.
Jessa, I’m so glad that you and your family were able to meet up with me for this session. I wish you the very best at Viterbo, and I know you’re going to do amazing things with your life.
